PLAYER BIO
Basketball has been a part of my life since I was a kid, playing whenever I had the chance. My journey truly began in seventh grade when I was cut from tryouts due to a lack of skill and an injury. Determined to improve, I worked hard and earned a spot on my eighth-grade team, though I was still undersized and inexperienced. Going into my freshman year, I dedicated my summer to training with my high school team, but just as I was ready to take the next step, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Unable to play for the entire year, I faced uncertainty about whether I would ever return to the game I loved. The following year, just a week before tryouts, I broke my ankle, sidelining me for another season.
Despite these setbacks, I remained committed to the game and finally got my first real opportunity during my junior year when I joined my first AAU team. After a year of playing, I received my first offer from a D3 school in 2019, where I played for a season before transferring to Lakeland Community College. Unfortunately, COVID-19 struck, canceling our season before it even started. Determined to keep my basketball career alive, I stayed in the gym and eventually earned a spot at Miami University Middletown, where I played for two years. My first year saw limited playing time, but in my second season, I made significant strides, averaging 9.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist per game while shooting 45% from the field, 38% from three, and 80% from the free-throw line.
Now, I am looking forward to the next chapter in my college basketball career. My journey has been anything but easy, facing adversity through illness, injuries, and unforeseen circumstances. However, my love for the game has never wavered. The challenges I have faced have only strengthened my passion and resilience, proving that no obstacle can take away my drive to compete. No matter what comes next, I am committed to continuing my basketball journey and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
